Would you like to gain insight into what each chapter of “Collaborating Backstage” has to offer? You have come to the right place! Read the brief description or click on the video below to watch a one-minute summary. Chapter 5 will be a real highlight!

If you have enjoyed the book until here, you will realize how all parts are now coming together in one practical technique: The T.I.M.O. technique. It consists of the four steps “Task”, “Intention”, “Match”, and “Organize”, that sum up the previous four chapters.

We will find out how to prepare efficiently for any creative collaboration like installing a show, designing a costume, or coming up with a whole new performance! Following the simple guidelines makes us include our partners’ knowledge while still keeping our desired direction.

Task

Step 1 is to prepare ourselves by collecting all available building blocks for our cooperation. The more details we can assemble the stronger will be our framework for the upcoming process.

Intention

Step 2 brings our personal intention for the exchange in line with the ones of our partners. By agreeing on a shared goal, less variations will occur along the way.

Match

Based on the first two steps we are now ready to match our creative inputs. Step 3 helps us shape creative triggers in the way they are understood best by our team.

Organize

Timing is everything! Therefore, we learn in chapter 4 how to organize and structure our collaboration. Let’s make sure we know when to give which creative input!

Grand Finale

That was it. I hope you’ll enjoy working on your next project with the knowledge you gained from “Collaborating Backstage”. But wait! You are still keen to learn more? Well, there is one more chapter waiting for you!

Here is the 1min video about the TIMO technique:
